How To Bleach The Vagina

To bleach or not to bleach, that is the big decision when it comes to vaginal bleaching. It is not a difficult process but as many different treatment options and outcomes are possible if done incorrectly then it becomes a difficult decision.

So, let’s look at the process to ensure success. First it is important to know your product, how to apply it, the correct dosage and its ingredients.

The European Union has banned hydroquinone-based gels in Europe as per claims it is a cancer-inducing chemical, which is harmful to the skin and can cause permanent damage.

With that known avoid any product with this ingredient. Be warned that:-

  • The labia and bikini area will have to be regularly maintained i.e. bleach applied at intervals (maybe twice weekly) after you have achieved your desired colour; in order to keep the desired colour.
  • These bleaching creams or gels are designed to be applied on sensitive areas of the body and should not cause irritation.
  • Vaginal bleaching creams or gels will not give you instant result. You have to be patient and use it as recommended for a few weeks before you see visible results.
  • Be realistic in your expectations. For darker skin tones you cannot achieve a skin tone, more than three times lighter than your natural colour.
  • Vaginal bleaching is a semi permanent solution to dark pigmentation. You will need to apply the cream again at some point in the future after you have achieved your desired skin tone.

Vaginal bleaching creams or gels are designed for all skin types. It is gentle on sensitive skin too but stay safe and go for the creams or gels which have essential oils as their base with no dyes, perfumes or fragrances as these are normally the cause of irritations.

As with any new product, do a patch test i.e. before applying the cream or gel, apply a small amount of the product on a small patch of the genital area and leave it on for 12 -24 hours and watch for any irritation or allergic reaction to the product.

Here’s how to apply it:-

  1. remove hair from the area to be bleached
  2. Cleanse and exfoliate the area to remove all dead cells then dry
  3. Follow the instructions as per the packet
  4. You can add an ointment as a moisturizer if the product feels too dry
